The Marbella Lab is always seeking highly motivated and creative postdoctoral researchers, graduate students, and undergraduate students interested in electrochemical energy storage, synthesis of energy materials, and operando techniques (with an emphasis on NMR/MRI characterization).
Incoming and prospective graduate students are welcome to contact Prof. Marbella via email to arrange a meeting to discuss research opportunities in the group. Please note that graduate students (PhD and MS students) need to be admitted to the PhD/MS program in Chemical Engineering at Columbia University to join.
Undergraduates who are interested in participating in undergraduate research should contact Prof. Marbella via email.
PhD level: In the fall of 2020, we have 3 openings for PhD students. The projects available are focused on i) studying ion dynamics in electrode materials for Li ion batteries, ii) in situ techniques to study structure/dynamics in solar cell materials, and iii) in situ characterization of structure and dynamics in superatomic solids.
