The Marbella Lab is always seeking highly motivated and creative postdoctoral researchers, graduate students, and undergraduate students interested in electrochemical energy storage, synthesis of energy materials, and operando characterization techniques.
Please note that graduate students (PhD and MS students) need to be admitted to the PhD/MS program in Chemical Engineering at Columbia University in order to join the group. Once admitted, Professor Marbella is happy to schedule a meeting to discuss potential openings. Out of fairness to all applicants, she does not discuss openings prior to admission to the program.

Open positions:
Postdoctoral level: We have an opening for 1 postdoctoral researcher. Postdoctoral applications must have extensive training and expertise in solid-state NMR spectroscopy. Other applications will not be considered.
PhD level: In Fall 2026, we will have an opening for 1-2 PhD students.
MS and undergraduate level: We currently have multiple openings for MS and undergraduate students.
